Saigon Bowl Vietnamese
Paynters was appointed to a fire that ravaged the ground floor of the popular Vietnamese Restaurant, Saigon Bowl in Strathfield, Sydney. The fire destroyed the kitchen and then spread, causing significant damage to the tenancy above. Paynters was engaged in demolishing, decontaminating, and restoring to its pre-fire state. The works involved a new roof and rectification of all internals, including the riser, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic services.
The project was located on a bustling street with limited access, creating a lot of logistical challenges concerning moving material to and from the site and accessing the exterior of the building. Therefore, we applied our know-how to identify a building methodology to allow the works to proceed while protecting the public and tenants.
Our in-depth understanding of construction and insurance allowed the Paynters team to proactively prepare an economic test to complete the highly disruptive works out of business hours.
Successful pre-planning and programming allowed Paynters to execute the required insurance rectification work with minimal costs incurred for completing works outside of business hours.
