Today we celebrate the many brilliant and talented women of Paynters, each of whom play an integral role in our success, and contribute greatly to the positive, collaborative culture we cherish. At Paynters, we truly believe a diverse workforce provides greater outcomes for everyone. The focal point for this year’s International Women’s Day campaign is #BreaktheBias, with a key message that everyone is accountable in fostering an inclusive and equitable world. Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias has created a huge barrier for women, particularly in the construction industry, which to date is still the most male-dominated major industry in Australia.

At Paynters, we are so proud to have so many strong females in our team who are role models and leaders, both on our sites and in the office. While we look back and see how far we have come, there is still much more work that needs to be done. The collective hope for our industry is that we continue to break down barriers. We reached out to a few of our team members this month, asking them what equity means to them and how they believe we can unite and act to #breakthebias. We will continue to have these important conversations, support each other, and foster equity.
