Partnering with our valued client Suncorp Insurance, PDQ was given the opportunity to be involved by way of providing the required material and labour for cyclone testing completed by Suncorp at JCU, Townsville. PDQ worked with local sub-contractors within the community who were generous enough to donate their time. The cyclone testing station at JCU was used yesterday by Suncorp and will share data with the University to use in its research. This will help Insurance builders, such as PDQ to understand the common drivers of cost claims in properties during cyclones.

PDQ are very familiar with the necessary materials required to withstand cyclones and in particular, winds up to 300km/h, windborne debris and storm surges experienced during category five cyclones. Having built various cyclone shelters across the State, PDQ were more than happy to lend a helping hand to university and the Townsville community.

Stay tuned. Footage of this testing will be available shortly.
