Berlasco: Indooroopilly’s New Multi-Level Residential Aged Care Home
Paynters has successfully delivered the brand new, multi-level Residential Aged Care home for the Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland (ECCQ).
Situated in the heart of Indooroopilly in Brisbane’s south-west, the facility brings significant benefits for older people from both the local and broader Brisbane community. Berlasco provides a care environment for 115-residents and offers 107 single rooms with ensuites and 8 suites with kitchenettes. The service is broken into 6 distinct homes with domestic scaled kitchens, shared living spaces and common areas with beautiful vistas over the local area and landscapes gardens. Community facilities include a fully serviced café and hair salon, day respite, allied health & various multipurpose function spaces.
Paynters provided an end-to-end solution for our clients at ECCQ, from initial master planning, in-house architectural design services, and construction all the way through to the engagement of our Interior Design and Operational Specialists to procure, commission and install the residential and community furnishing as wells as hotel services and clinical equipment.
This unique project was the result of Paynters longstanding and collaborative relationship with the Berlasco Board, with Paynters commencing initial schematic design workshops to reflect the Board’s vision back in 2014 to support the changing needs of the culturally and linguistically diverse communities of Queensland. Our team have supported the the ECCQ Board to secure government funding grant, develop operational options, full design services, and approvals, in addition to the construction works and are so proud to see the residents enjoying their new home.
