Connecting Culture & Construction: NAIDOC Week with Bullinah Aboriginal Health Service

We wrapped up NAIDOC Week with the team in Ballina, starting with a visit to Northern River Community Gallery for their Community Mural Painting activity, getting creative with a paintbrush and connecting with culture!
From there, we headed onsite to our Bullinah Aboriginal Health Service Health Hub project, for a BBQ and meaningful discussion around this year’s theme: The Next Generation – Strength, Vision & Legacy.
This year’s theme resonates deeply with the purpose of this project. Once complete, the three-storey health clinic will provide culturally safe, holistic care to the Bundjalung community and beyond, significantly improving access to essential health services.
Paynters is privileged to be delivering this facility, working closely with Bullinah and community stakeholders to ensure the space reflects both the practical needs and the cultural identity of those it serves.
As the week came to a close, we reflect on our role in contributing to lasting change through culturally responsive infrastructure and genuine community partnerships.
