Big things are coming for basketball in Central Queensland 🏀

Recently, we joined Assistant Minister for Regional Development Senator Anthony Chisholm, GABA President, Duane Jacobsen, Gladstone Regional Council, Deputy Mayor Natalia Muszkat representing Mayor Matt Burnett, Member for Gladstone, Glenn Butcher and key stakeholders and project partners to officially turn the sod on the new Gladstone Regional Indoor Sports Centre for the Gladstone Amateur Basketball Association (GABA).

Located at Memorial Park in Gladstone, the new two-court indoor sports facility will provide a modern space for local athletes, families and the wider community to come together, compete and grow the game.

This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for grassroots sport in the region – creating more opportunities for participation, development and community connection for years to come.

We’re proud to see this project move one step closer to reality and look forward to watching the centre take shape. ⛹️‍♀️⛹️‍♂️
