KFC Kempsey Back in Business

Following the devastating 2025 floods on the NSW Mid-North Coast, Paynters was engaged to deliver flood rectification and reinstatement works at the KFC Kempsey store on behalf of Restaurant Brands Australia Pty Ltd.

Extensive damage forced the immediate closure, with works including replacement of cold rooms, wall and floor finishes, services reinstatement, and a full fit-out to current KFC standards.

During the internal strip-out, our team identified multiple structurally compromised steel columns – a latent condition that represented a critical hold point for reinstatement. Paynters worked collaboratively with all claim stakeholders and the building owner to rectify the structural issues identified. By running structural repairs alongside the fit-out and accelerating the program, we minimised downtime and delivered the project ahead of schedule—helping get the doors back open sooner.
