Paynters have recently put the finishing touches on the North Ipswich Social Housing project, creating greater housing choices and diversity within Queensland.

This 6-storey building contains 30 apartments offering safe, secure and affordable homes. With a combination of one-bedroom & two-bedroom apartments, these Gold and Platinum options cater for families, couples, and singles.

Each floor has generous communal spaces, linked by a light and airy atrium with subtropical landscaping.  Due to the prominent location, all apartments boast panoramic views over Ipswich, with large functional balcony spaces as well as a ground floor commercial office space.

Designed as a collaboration between Paynters, Department of Housing and Public Works and Ipswich City Council, the bright red, orange, and blue external colour palette takes inspiration from the nearby heritage listed Historic North Ipswich Railway Workshops.

The property was recently rezoned by council to be CBD residential high density. Our project team have delivered this first major development within the new zone, which will be a catalyst for future developments, with up to 10 storeys allowable within this zone.
