A huge congratulations to the PDQ team who have taken home multiple awards at both the North and Far North QMBA’s over the weekend. The last year has seen the completion of a number of outstanding projects in Cairns and Townsville, with PDQ incredibly proud of the work delivered.

In Far North Queensland, PDQ received commendation in the Community Service Facilities category for the Design and Construction of the Cairns Supported Accommodation Facility, working with our longstanding clients at the Department of Housing and Public Works (HPW) to achieve a high quality and appealing housing option for Far North Queensland residents. PDQ also took home Excellence in Workplace Health & Safety for another HPW project, the Cairns Convention Centre – a testament to our incredible project team.

The North Queensland ceremony saw PDQ receive recognition once again in the Community Service Facilities category for the state of the art NRL Cowboys House. PDQ worked alongside trusted clients at HPW, to manage the design and construction of this facility, formed to help young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders from remote areas in Queensland complete their secondary education and access school-aged apprenticeships.

To top it all off, PDQ took home the Major Award in Diversity for the Paynter Dixon Regional Training and Development Program. This initiative was developed by our HSEQ team, working alongside DATSIP, CSQ and TAFE North. The program has an emphasis on subcontractor upskilling and training with a key focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation and education.

Well done to our team on their incredible efforts!
