New Learning Centre for Growing Coolum State High School
It was a privilege to be a part of the official opening of Coolum State High School’s new state-of-the-art learning centre, alongside Minister for Education Grace Grace, Principal Troy Ascott, key stakeholders, staff and students.
Working in an operational school environment, Paynters undertook the design and construction of the two-storey new learning facility – ‘Gagal Gira’ (taken from the local Indigenous word for ‘shining light’), along with an extension to the administration building, including conference room, offices, kitchenette and meeting rooms, outdoor covered area, new multi-purpose courts, redevelopment of the existing courts and associated infrastructure. Paynters takes pride in delivering new spaces and enhanced facilities, that greatly benefit the school’s staff and students – providing much needed infrastructure for the school and growing community
