Paynters Connectors
A big thank you to Vinnie and Mark from MATES in Construction, who took some of our Paynters team members through the MIC Connector Training last month.
These powerful and insightful training sessions examine mental health & suicide and their lingering presence in the Australian construction industry. ‘Connectors’ are volunteers who are trained to recognise signs of mental struggle and are geared up with the necessary tools to help their fellow workers find the appropriate support.
Paynters are proud to have 13 staff (office and site based) formally trained as either Connectors or ASIST workers via MATES in Construction. MATES is one of very few well documented and researched workplace-based suicide prevention programs and our team have thoroughly enjoyed working with this organisation to ensure our own staff and subcontractor network are safe and supported.
