Paynters continue to shine when it comes to Regional Training and Development
The Hon Shannon Fentiman stopped by our office for a chat with resident North Queensland Manager Michael Koen yesterday, discussing the recently awarded TAFE Qld Pimlico Campus.
Training and Skills Development Minister Fentiman is passionate about the Pimlico project & the focus on modernising the learning areas within the TAFE.
Having strong working relationships with the likes of TAFE North, CSQ & DATSIP within the Townsville region, Paynters are confident that the team can exceed expectations regarding training & employment outcomes whilst also contributing to the Townsville economy by engaging with local subcontractors and suppliers.
Only last year Paynters was presented the major award in Diversity at the Master Builders Queensland Housing & Construction night of nights where the team was recognised for its Regional Training and Development program. The program, which continues to be a success two years on, was implemented to support and educate local businesses on industry tender processes, contracts administration, safety and quality requirements along with upskilling and training opportunities.
In conjunction with the education of businesses, Paynters program also provided awareness training for site workers and subcontractors, highlighting the benefits of utilising funded training on offer at TAFE North. These information sessions will further assist the Pimlico Campus project in order to meet training policy requirements and direct the end users to the appropriate funding and training organisations.
