Paynters helping hand to Dolphins NRL bid
Almost a decade ago Paynters Managing Director Nigel Gardiner walked the grounds of Dolphin Stadium with CEO Tony Murphy to discuss his vision for the club.
Now, after completing the final piece of the stadium puzzle, our Hospitality team have allowed Tony’s dream to become a reality, with the Dolphins’ announcing yesterday their formal NRL bid, ready for presentation.
Mark Shulman, alongside our Hospitality specialists, handed over the $6.5mil Northern Grandstand earlier this month, producing a ready-made boutique Stadium. In recent years, Paynters has also improved the facility by completing the Western and Eastern grandstands, Junior Rugby League Academy, ticket and merchandising facilities, food and beverage outlets, amenities, and main field works. The improved Dolphin Stadium now has more than 10,000 seats with an additional standing room of 1500, bringing the capacity to 11,500.
Over the last decade Paynters has completed 12 projects for the Dolphins and the Leagues Club, having worked with our client to achieved remarkable growth.
“We have helped the club develop a vision and implement a progressive plan of renovation and reconstruction, delivering new business opportunities for a club that has demonstrated a considerable appetite for diversification.” said Managing Director, Nigel Gardiner.
The Redcliffe precinct has also grown to include a new shopping centre and a Health and Wellbeing Precinct comprising of an Aquatic Centre and Gymnasium.
“We are proud to have worked harmoniously with the Redcliffe Dolphins, providing them with a stadium that they can be very proud to put forward as the next NRL contender.” said Mr Gardiner.
