Paynter Dixon Queensland joined long term clients Kaloma on Saturday November 11 to celebrate their 30 years of operation and the official opening of the recent extensions and refurbishment at Kaloma Home for the Aged Goondiwindi.

Kaloma’s recent project was made possible through a 2016 Capital Grant and facilitated by a wonderful collaboration between the Board, CEO and PDQ’s specialist Aged Care Team. It involved the planning, feasibility, design, construction and commissioning of 3 new wings, as well as refurbishment works to the existing high care wings.

Southern Downs MP Lawrence Springborg officially opened the building, with a number of local councillors also present. PDQ’s Erica Lambert and Chris Jacobson attended the opening ceremony and celebrations with the entire Paynter Dixon project team warmly thanked by the Board Chair, Liz Wood, for their hard work and dedication to the Kaloma project. PDQ were also recognised for our commitment to local trades throughout the construction period.

Kaloma CEO Penni Roberts, Board Chair, Liz Wood, other representatives of the board, residents and their families were all very complementary of the building, with the facility looking absolutely stunning. The event was a roaring success, and a fantastic opportunity to bring the community together to celebrate the wonderful contribution Kaloma has made to Goondiwindi.
