Aged Care & Supported Living

The project consisted of the design and construction of 21 Independent Living Units (ILU’s) as the first stage of the master plan for expansion of the retirement village together with significant refurbishment work within the existing Residential Aged Care Facility on the existing Capricorn Adventist Retirement Village site.

The ILU’s comprised 3 different unit types in either Single or Duplex configurations. A key feature of this first stage of the retirement village expansion was the development of parkland spaces which includes outdoor exercise equipment for the residents and play equipment for visiting children as well as large, grassed areas for play or picnics and a BBQ area with an amenities building.

Concurrently with expansion of the retirement village, Paynters also undertook the design and construction of significant refurbishment works to the Residential Aged Care Facilities within the existing site. These refurbishment works included upgrade works to the existing Residential Aged Care wings, central residents’ lounge /dining and common areas and administration area as well as a new loading dock, car parking area and Fire Hydrant Upgrade which included 144,000 litre in-ground tanks and new booster pumps.
