Cheetham Salt Mine, Bajool

Following a damaging hailstorm, Paynters was engaged on a Managed Cost basis to complete the urgent make-safe and subsequent re-roof of a large operational salt refinery facility.

Given the mine was one of only a few suppliers of salt to the country, it was crucial that the works occurred without any disruption to operations. To mitigate future damage, we replaced the damaged polycarbonate sheeting with an aluminium permalite roof sheet which could handle the highly corrosive environment. Our team successfully navigated through challenges such as the regional location, severe weather, and the scale of the roof area to deliver the project.
