Paynters has handed over the $12 million Ipswich Hospital Expansion.  The design and construct project for West Moreton Health was delivered as part of their 15-year staged Master Plan to help manage demand and health need.

The project included a 26-bed ward for inpatients (the first new ward at Ipswich Hospital for seven years), patient care centre with an isolation room, treatment room, patient lounge and transit lounge and staff facilities and workspaces.

As part of the project Tower Block Level 6 & 7 were also refurbished to provide an improved outpatient area – with spaces for allied health consulting and treatment, oncology and day infusion treatment, audiology services, hand clinic, flexible outpatient consultation spaces and staff facilities and workspaces.

Ipswich Hospital remained fully functional throughout the construction period – with multiple services relocated to allow the works to continue without disruption to consumers and staff.
