Recovery & Reinstatement for Bushland Health

Following the May 2025 flood event that impacted the NSW Mid North Coast, Paynters was engaged to deliver flood rectification and reinstatement works for Bushland Health Group in Taree.

The flooding caused widespread damage across 46 retirement living villas, requiring extensive internal strip-out and reinstatement works. Our scope has included asbestos and Category 3 water remediation and clearance across the site, reinstatement of new internal linings, full wet area and kitchen reinstatements, associated fit-out works, and significant electrical rectification within the villas and across facility switchboards.

Within days of the flood event and immediately after the highway reopened, our specialist insurance team had mobilised onsite — enabling immediate mitigation of property and business interruption impacts.

Concurrently, Paynters commenced scoping and consultant engagements, obtaining Private Certifier approval whilst still mobilised for the make safe works, allowing reinstatement works to commence whilst mitigation works continued.

The first stages were handed back to residents in December 2025.  With remaining stages progressing well, the project remains on track for completion in April 2026.

Thank you to Sedgwick and Bushland Health Group for the strong collaboration to date. We’re proud to have received excellent client feedback recognising our communication, coordination and workmanship.
