Restrictions finally turfed at Cluden Park
The ease of restrictions in Queensland couldn’t have come at a better time for the Townsville Turf Club as they open the doors of their refurbished facility to the public.
Paynters have recently completed the new members’ precinct for the club, including a new public sports bar, members’ lounge, lawn & restaurant, which is now officially hosting patrons after a long wait.
Long-term club member Sue Byrnes said “it is very exciting to be back at the track with these facilities … it’s just amazing what they’ve done and to be able to look out and see the track and beautiful view is just magnificent”.
“This facility here is state of the art, lots of wagering opportunities for our members who are very focused on that and we also have a dining option now,” said General Manager Ms Rintala.
We are proud to have created a fresh space for the patrons following the major floods, with the club now preparing to host the Townsville Cup race day on August 14.
