Paynters have started breaking ground this week at Kelvin Grove State College (KGSC) which is due for completion in November 2019.

New infrastructure for the Senior campus incorporates a new Multipurpose Sports Hall & Learning Centre. This includes a new two storey, multipurpose 2 court sports centre/hall with related spaces, 7 GLA’s & future proofed for 6 further learning spaces & 1 future court space. The expansion also involves the construction of a purpose-built Queensland Ballet Academy building, with intake for up to 180 students (from years 7 to 12) with academic studies & parallel ballet training at the Kelvin Grove State College site.

We’re thrilled to partner with KGSC and the Qld Government to deliver a training facility that will develop ballet stars of the future.

Kelvin Grove State College principal Llew Paulger said the college was excited by the opportunity for elite dance students to be a part of the Queensland Ballet Academy whilst completing their studies at the college.

“The Academy will have the capacity to significantly expand its student numbers and the college looks forward to continuing to provide all the students with a diversity of programs to meet the needs of the next generation of professional ballet dancers,” Mr Paulger said.
