Throwback Tuesday!
Here at Paynters, we get all warm and fuzzy when we’re sent pics like these, with that beautiful landscape thriving!
In December of 2019, our CQ team completed Stage 1 of Calliope State High School. With the landscape elements now fully grown and the staff and students settled into the facilities, the school is well and truly flourishing.
Flashing back to construction, Paynters was able to complete Separable Portion 1 ahead of time for the Department of Education and Honeywill Consulting, with 2 school-based trainees working with our local team throughout the year.
A key driver for the project team was the use of local subcontractors from the region, with many of our trades broken into smaller packages to encourage SME’s to deliver the works. Our team inducted over 900 workers onsite during the life of the project.
To cap off a successful project journey, our project team was awarded the 2020 Queensland Master Builders Awards for Education facilities over $10m in addition to Project of the Year.
We would like to again thank everyone involved in the project, helping us build important infrastructure in the Central Queensland region.
