Zoe’s Journey
PAYNTERS RECEPTIONIST MOVES INTO CADET ROLE //
What made you want to make the move from your current role into a Cadet position?
I wanted to follow my degree path a little more closely and gain some practical experience to see what I want to explore in the future. Being a cadet will allow me to understand different aspects of the business, which I’m really looking forward to. Paynters has some of the best in the industry – the team’s knowledge and experience will be a great asset to my journey.
What are you studying at Uni?
Bachelor of Business, Majoring in Marketing. I was doing a Duel Degree, Majoring in Event Management but realised that my drive and passion was more Marketing focused.
What will you be doing as a Cadet first up?
Working closely with the Interior Design team, gaining some invaluable knowledge within that field, learning from our Interior Design Managers- Katherine & Anne. I believe I’ll also be working with Kate, learning the ropes when it comes to everything Marketing & Communications within the Construction industry. At this stage the next 12 months have been mapped out & I’m keen to explore all that it has to offer, to learn, grow and contribute where my strengths lie.
Where do you in vision yourself in 10 years’ time?
If I follow on from my degree and enjoy the Marketing elements of the business, then something in Marketing would be ideal but it will really be about where the cadetship take me. There are so many avenues at Paynters, you never know until you try them all! I finish Uni at the end of 2019, so I look forward to discovering options with Paynters!
