Aspiring Tradies Try’A Trade

Over 30 high school students got a glimpse into a career in construction at Try-A-Trade workshops held across two Paynters construction sites last month.

Our team were pleased to welcome Year 10 Technology Skills students from Coolum State High School, Year 9 Redlands College and Wynnum SHS Year 11 students to try their hand across Carpentry, Plumbing, Bricklaying, Painting, Tiling and Cabinet Making trades. Paynters are currently delivering the new General Learning Area and Admin Extension at Coolum State High School as well as major refurbishment and extension works at Redlands RSL.

Partnering with CSQ, these events allow students to learn firsthand from experts across various trade disciplines as well as receive direct exposure to an operational construction site. We hoped these events sparked the interest of some aspiring tradies as Paynters continue to lay the foundations for future construction professionals.
