Wednesday saw us turning sod on the multi-level residential aged care facility for the Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland (ECCQ) in Indooroopilly.

The Berlasco Court facility will be called “home” to 115 residents by 2022. The ECCQ team are overjoyed with the prospect of a new facility with guests commending the community project.

Opening the event, Paynters Erica Lambert spoke about the journey to-date, with first conversations commencing with ECCQ almost 15 years ago. ECCQ’s Chair Alton Budd & Serge Voloschenko ECCQ’s Honorary President and life member took us down memory lane with stories about the original home, opportunities over the years, and their reasoning for the expansion.

Although a very hot day, it was fantastic to see such a great turn out by the ECCQ Board, past Board members and special guests. We look forward to watching the building coming out of the ground.
