Paynters proud to be partnering with the NRL Cowboys House

Last week representatives of the Bindal traditional owners performed a private smoking ceremony on the NRL Cowboys House site. The smoking ceremony holds great cultural significance. The ceremony involves smouldering various native plants to produce smoke which is believed to have cleansing properties and the ability to ward off bad spirits. Having this ceremony conducted on this site prior to building will provide Indigenous families with a great level of comfort that their children will be coming to a safe place and are welcomed to live on this land by the traditional owners.

Paynters are currently in the Design phase of this project and look forward this project kicking off!
