Whilst cyclone Debbie was causing a trail of destruction across North Queensland, PDQ built cyclone shelters were allowing communities with no other options to take shelter in the safe & secure facilities.
Built by Paynter Dixon Qld in 2012, the Proserpine Cyclone Shelter (located at Proserpine State High School) and the Bowen Cyclone Shelter (at Bowen State High School) were opened by the local councils on Monday morning in preparation of the category 4 cyclone. Bowen & Proserpine were two of the hardest hit areas across the coast and we wish all those affected a speedy & safe recovery.
