The Paynters Training and Development Program has had a roaring start to 2019, as local Gladstone businesses gathered for the first information session of the year. The event addressed everything from funding opportunities and training, to upcoming projects for the Central Queensland region.

Continuing our valued partnership with Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ), local subcontractors attended the event at Toolooa State High School Tuesday night (where the Paynters team are currently constructing the New Learning Centre) and given the opportunity to network with industry professionals. Led by Paynters HSEQ Coordinator Amy Matthews, the session was very well received amongst attendees aiming to meet their personal training or business requirements. The evening addressed several key industry topics, with representatives from both Paynters and CSQ providing insight into funding access, school-based training and work experience as well as how to comply with the Queensland Government’s Training Policy Administration System (TPAS).

Paynters, along with CSQ, are eager to continue momentum with these information sessions, with further events to be scheduled for Rockhampton, Townsville, Mackay and Cairns in 2019.  The Paynters team are incredibly passionate about giving back to the Gladstone community, and with a number of key projects in the pipeline, our team are committed to maximising local participation wherever possible.
