Paynters Pave the Way for Students Seeking Trade Opportunities

Students from Mackay Northern Beaches SHS were given the opportunity to join the Paynters team on site last week, trying their hands across various trades on the Great Barrier Reef Arena Project.

Partnering with CSQ, WorldSkills Australia and CQU, Paynters welcomed 22 local students to take part in the Try’A Trade with various workshops in carpentry, electrical and plumbing. 

The students were also given a tour of the current site works, gaining exposure to a live construction site and insight into future career paths. It is always a pleasure to interact with the communities in which we work, with Paynters committed to supporting the next generation of construction workers. 

With project works rapidly progressing, our team look forward to delivering this exciting addition to the Harrup Park precinct in the coming months that will serve the Mackay community for decades to come!
