Paynters rally for mental health

On sunny Saturday afternoon, nine of our Paynters team members put on their walking shoes in the spirit of mateship. The Clubs for a Cause fundraiser saw hundreds of  hospitality industry members and supporters show up to Coolangatta SLSC, prepped and ready to tackle the 10km to Currumbin RSL, #walkingwithmates for mental health awareness.

The Queensland hospitality industry has battled a tough year of COVID-19 restrictions, alongside many other business owners. The impact of these restrictions has taken a toll in more ways than one, igniting the driver behind Clubs for a Cause – to raise funds and awareness for the brilliant team at the Black Dog Institute, who are leaders in mental health support, research and education initiatives across Australia.

The event was a roaring success, with participants collectively raising near $40k for the cause.

The Paynters team were very proud to support our Hospitality industry allies, and hope for a positive 2021 for all. A big thank you to all of the event volunteers who made the day such a success.
