Following a fire that devastated all nine tenancies of a strip mall, Paynters was engaged to respond urgently to the make-safe and for the fast-tracked reinstatement works.

The structural integrity of the strip mall was completely compromised, requiring Paynters to demolish the fire-affected buildings. Within days, Paynters had their Design Manager and Consultant Team on-site commencing the accelerated design and documentation of the rebuild.

Collaborating intensively with all stakeholders, the Paynters team delivered a rationalized, efficient, and economical design. In addition, by staying within the bounds of the demolished structure and liaising closely with Redland City Council, Paynters could proceed without lengthy council development approvals, saving upwards of 6 months on the program.

The New Strip Mall design features 1900m2 of lettable space, with flexibility for up to 13 independently serviced tenancies.
