The brand new Calliope State High School has now reached practical completion. After 12 months of work, the new school opened for students in January 2020.

Stage 1 of the new School was split into three separable portions incorporating an administration building, staff facilities, junior & senior learning centers, a canteen, amenities, civil works, multipurpose hall & ICT, science centre, junior applied technology, landscaping and sports facilities. The school will grow by approximately 100 students per year to approximately 800 students over the longer term, in which the facilities have catered for.

The growing Calliope community has been calling for a new school to cater for growth, and Paynters have delivered, ahead of schedule.
