The Kirwan Community Health Campus has been expanded to provide the Townsville community with improved access to maternity and oral health services in a modern, purpose-built facility.

The new two-storey building brings these important healthcare services together under one roof, creating welcoming and practical spaces designed around the needs of patients, families and healthcare teams.

The ground floor features a new maternity clinic with 15 consultation rooms, dedicated ultrasound and procedure rooms, and on-site pathology services. Upstairs, the expanded oral health clinic includes 11 treatment chairs, providing greater capacity to support the community’s ongoing healthcare needs.

The project also delivers new outdoor spaces, including seating and a play area for patients and families, along with additional car parking to improve accessibility to the campus.

Delivered within an operational healthcare environment, the project required careful planning and coordination to maintain existing services while construction progressed.

With contemporary facilities, improved capacity and spaces designed with the community in mind, the expansion is helping to strengthen the range of healthcare services available to people across Townsville.
