Gladstone Hospital Block 2 CSD and Block 7 Theatre Upgrades

Paynters Central Queensland team have completed significant refurbishment works at the CQHHS Gladstone Hospital campus.

The works involved a refurbishment of the West Wing Block 7 Operating Theatres & associated areas, construction of a new East Wing Block 2 Ground Floor Central Sterilising Department, relocation of existing generator and installation of new main switchboard with MSB enclosure.  

The West Wing upgrades include the latest in state-of-the-art theatre and sterilising equipment, including Storz theatre lights and pendants, Advantage Plus automated endoscope reprocessors, drying and storage cabinets and electric height adjustable sinks.

As a variation to the project, Paynters also undertook extensive refurbishment works to the existing linkways which connect the West Wing to the main hospital building, these works included, installation of air-conditioning, new floorcoverings, new ceilings and full repaint.

This vital infrastructure upgrade ensures hospital remains at the forefront of delivering medical care to the Central Queensland region.
