Mater Private Hospital Townsville – New Maternity Ward & Special Care Nursery

The new Maternity Ward and Special Care Nursery at Mater Private Hospital Townsville is now complete. 

This purpose-built facility features three birthing suites, including two dedicated water birthing suites, along with assessment rooms, six neonatal critical care bays, and twelve private inpatient maternity rooms with ensuites. These are supported by thoughtfully designed shared spaces for patients, families, and staff.

The development also included integrated staff facilities, clean and dirty utilities, and dedicated family support areas, ensuring efficient clinical operations and enhanced patient care. Designed with comfort in mind, the facility incorporates natural light, private courtyards, and warm, homely finishes to create a calming and supportive environment.
