Mater Hospital Mackay – Perioperative Services

Paynters successfully completed an upgrade of the perioperative services at Mater Hospital Mackay, including new operating theatre, sterile store and stock rooms, along with the reconfiguration of pre-op, recovery and patient amenity zones. Works also included two stages for the CSSD upgrade refurbishment works.

These works were undertaken to meet the growing health needs of the community, ensuring the ability and capacity to treat people in the region, rather than traveling further afield.

Throughout the six stages of construction, our focus remained on ensuring seamless operations for the hospital, patients, and services. Situated on level 2, the construction zone was meticulously managed to minimize disruptions, including noise and vibration, while upholding stringent infection control measures.
