Mercy Haven Residential Aged Care Facility

Mercy Haven is a brand-new, purpose-built residential aged care facility in Rockhampton, delivered by Paynters for Mercy Community.

This three level development provides 90 private bedrooms with ensuites, with 30 rooms on each floor designed to support comfort, dignity and independence. Each level includes its own café/bar and servery, helping to create a welcoming, community focused environment for residents and their families. The facility also features beautifully landscaped gardens, and shared communal spaces. The development also includes new carparking and a covered linkway to access existing facilities, creating a connected and functional space for residents, staff and visitors. To improve long term sustainability, solar panels were installed to the new and existing buildings enhancing energy efficiency and reducing operational costs.

Despite encountering latent conditions, along with the complexities of working within an existing operational site, we delivered a high quality, contemporary care environment.

Mercy Haven supports Mercy Community’s mission to provide compassionate care services while allowing older Australians to remain connected to their regional community as they age. The facility also delivers a significant economic boost to Central Queensland through the creation of over 120 new local jobs.
