Ready, set, build!
Work has begun on a staged expansion of a retirement village in Highfields that includes a new 96-bed residential aged care facility. Paynters broke ground before Christmas, working along-side long-time client, Carinity to deliver their vision for residents.
There are already 61 independent retirement units on site at Carinity’s Brownesholme in Highfields, and the new aged care community will complement the existing village.
A Carinity spokesman said Carinity is committed to enhancing the well-being of Queensland retirees.
“We believe in creating communities where people feel respected, are heard and feel a true sense of belonging,” he said.
The approved staged development of the site is for a new 96 bed residential aged care facility plus an additional 84 retirement villas.
Paynters are underway with site works and construction for the aged care building as well as the civil works and site infrastructure first stage of the retirement community.
This will be Paynters fourth project with Carinity after completing award-winning projects in Townsville, the Gold Coast and more recently, Brookfield.
The residential aged care building is scheduled to open to residents in mid-2021.
