Take a look at the Try’a Trade event recently held at our Adventist, Victoria Point project. A group of grade 9 and 10 students from Redlands College join us on site for the day, eager to dive into the world of construction and hands-on training.

Students had the unique opportunity to try their hand at various trades, from carpentry to tiling, and even concreting. This event was all about rolling up their sleeves and getting involved (and dirty!) in the construction process.

The day was capped off with a site tour of the 18 Independent Living Units (ILUs) we’re currently constructing. The students got to witness trades in action, and gain insights into construction from a real-world perspective.

This was more than just a day out of the classroom; it was a stepping stone for these students, providing them with invaluable first-hand experience and igniting a passion for the construction industry. We look forward to seeing these aspiring young builders back on our construction sites one day!
