Our 2017 Kokoda Winners, Grace Thompson and Mitch Kruk have begun their role as Ambassadors for Mates in Construction, with a drive to change the stigma around mental health!

DID YOU KNOW?

“Every year 190 Australians working in the construction industry take their own lives. This means we lose a construction worker every second day to suicide.” – MIC, 2016.

THEIR MISSON

Grace and Mitch will be completing the 96 kilometer Kokoda Track in September for Mates in Construction, trekking through some of the most rugged and wild jungle in the world – all in the name of suicide prevention.

Mates in Construction is an Organisation dedicated to reducing the high level of suicide amongst Australian construction workers. Their onsite community development programs, case management support options and 24/7 help line allow them to connect with workers in need of support. The funds raised by Grace and Mitch will ensure MIC can continue to work within our industry to save lives.
