Suspended Slab Poured at Gladstone SHS

Last Friday, our Gladstone State High School project team hit a significant milestone by pouring a massive 170m³ – forming a 750m2 suspended slab for the new Industrial Technology Building. That’s approximately 26 truckloads of concrete!  This impressive feat is a testament to our team’s dedication, precision, and hard work.

With the project on track, two of the three suspended decks have been poured with the last deck pour scheduled for late August. Structural steel installation has now commenced on the poured suspended deck. This will now start to show the size and complexity of the structure. We have also completed the undercroft area, which includes the dust extraction unit, compressed air storage as well as stairs and a lift connecting the lower carpark to the upper floor.

This new industrial technology building is key to enhancing educational facilities and providing state-of-the-art resources for future generations at Gladstone SHS.

A big shoutout to our valuable subcontractors for their incredible work:

Gudgeon Plumbing, Gray Electrical, Elevated Formwork, Butler Fabrications, LJ Crete, Ghungalu Investments (Civil), Virleo (Steel Fixing), JFP Survey, Snowdonia, AMCQ (Blockwork).
