Tour of Townsville takes Health Minister to hospital redevelopment

State Health Minister Steven Miles visited our Townsville Hospital site yesterday, reviewing the Endoscopy redevelopment. The end of September will see the Hospital move in with the Renal Dialysis expansion & refurbishment to follow as part of separable portion 2 & 3.

The $6mil investment by the State government should keep up with current demands, doubling the size of the existing Endoscopy unit.

280 jobs have been created during the construction period with over 2,100 training hours complete to date.
