Winnam National Sorry Day Ceremony

Grant Marshall, Paynters Indigenous Engagement Manager, attended the Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Corporation (ATSIC) National Sorry Day Commemoration Ceremony at Wynnum on Friday.

The morning was dedicated to acknowledging the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who were forcibly removed from their families and communities. This event served as a reminder of the ongoing journey towards healing and reconciliation.

It was a meaningful opportunity to connect with the community, industry partners including Kaunitz Yeung Architecture. Grant was also honoured to meet Aunty Becky Thomson, the Traditional Owner and Chair of Winnam ATSIC.

We can each play our part in the journey to reconciliation by acknowledging the past and working together towards a better future.
