Paynters was engaged on a Managed Cost following an electrical fire at the Spar Holloways Beach, Cairns.
Given the fire occurred soon after the North QLD flood event and the independent grocer being the main provider to the local community, it was crucial that the building was repaired quickly.
The Paynters in-house design team worked with the landlord and the tenant on design changes as they took the opportunity to improve the layout of the shop.
The grocer moved into a small empty tenancy next door to keep some operations going while our works took place. The works included new services, flooring, roof and fit out. With the client and community delighted with the outcome.
